 Tolland County Art Association

We are a group of artists and art loving people who gather together. We have two open studios, public exhibitions, evening meeting demos, plein air painting, excursions to various art-related places as well as sell our art. We exchange painting ideas and find inspiration in each other. Among us are painters in every medium as well as those of us who find creating anything a joy and a challenge.

TCAA has been around since the late 1940's when a few friends with a mutual interest in art started getting together regularly. They met at each other's homes to paint and critique each others work. We now have the beautiful Tolland Art Center to meet at. Our goals have remained rooted in inspiring the communities around us as well as each other.

The Vernon Chorale Inc was established in 1980 and offers residents of Vernon, the tri-town area, and selected collegiate student fellows, an opportunity to participate in an auditioned community chorus.  The Vernon Chorale maintains a 40 person membership which performs a wide and challenging variety of choral music.  We traditionally hold a series of 3 concerts: Fall/Winter, Spring and early summer each year.  The Vernon Chorale is a non-profit 501c3 organization that solicits tax-deductible donations from local and regional individuals, corporations and other businesses.  We are also supported in part by the Vernon Arts Commission each season.  Our members pay a modest annual dues fee, which pays for rehearsal room rental and some other basic costs.
